Smartcard is locked, too many failed logins.
  • Reset smart card (for PS card only) and re-issue certificate.
  • Replace smart card and re-issue certificate for non-PS card.
(-111)
I/O error accessing smartcard.
  • Ensure smart card is inserted properly.
  • Ensure smart card reader is configured/installed properly (See NSP Installation Guide).
  • Com port (used by smart card reader) may conflict with modem/scanner/printer.
  • Gently rub the smart card chip with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Replace smart card/reader if above corrective actions are not effective.
(-120)
Smartcard data MAC check failed.
  • Reset smart card (for PS card only) and re-issue certificate.
  • Replace smart card and re-issue certificate for non-PS card.
(-150)
User already logged on.
  • Save any "unsaved" work before rebooting (press Control, Alternate and Delete simultaneously) the system.
(-298) The operation was attempted on Certificate with NULL X500_Certificate.
  • Ensure that you are connected to Internet.
  • Double click "time" at taskbar. Under "Date & Time" tab, ensure date and time are correct. Under "Time Zone" tab, ensure GMT+08:00 Singapore is selected (for Singapore users only).
  • Go to c:\program files\common files\netrust profile. Delete all .tkn, .cch and .crl files.
(-795) A certificate is not yet valid.
  • Double click "time" at taskbar. Under "Date & Time" tab, ensure date and time are correct. Under "Time Zone" tab, ensure GMT+08:00 Singapore is selected (for Singapore users only).
(-1086) The password is not correct.
  • Ensure that your "Caps", "Num" and "Scroll" locks are off.
  • Ensure that you enter the correct password (case-sensitive).
(-1648) Your profile (with an epf extension) is not current and contains old signing information. Contact your Administrator*.
  • Reset smart card (for PS card only) and re-issue certificate.
  • Replace smart card and re-issue certificate for non-PS card.
(-1685) An CSS/Manager communication error was encountered. Please try again. If this problem persists contact your Administrator.
  • Ensure that you are connected to Internet.
  • Ensure ports 389 (CD) and 709 (CM) are opened for outgoing traffic at the firewall (See Section 3 for the IP addresses and the verification of availability of CD and CM services).
  • Go to c:\program files\common files\netrust profile. Delete all .tkn, .cch and .crl files.
(-3969) A supplied token profile index was out of range.(Smart card not detected)
  • Ensure that the smart card is inserted properly.
  • Ensure that the smart card reader is configured/installed properly (See NSP Installation Guide).
(-3979) Could not connect to public directory.
  • Ensure ports 389 (CD) and 709 (CM) are opened for outgoing traffic at the firewall (See Section 3 for the IP addresses and the verification of availability of CD and CM services).
NA(Error at browser) Rejected connection from local host.
  • Look for "hosts" in c:\windows (for Win95/98) or c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc (for WinNT). Ensure that "127.0.0.1 (space) localhost" is defined in the file (No other settings should be defined in this file).
* Every digital certificate has a life span of 3 years. For security reasons, the verification certificate will renew and update itself automatically when you log in online between " 22th and 25th month from date of issuance. You will encounter error (-1648) if your certificate has expired.
