Singapore, 3 April 2003 - Netrust was established in
May 1997 as the first Certification Authority (CA) in Southeast Asia. A
joint venture between Keppel T&T and NETS, Netrust provides individuals,
businesses and government organisations with a complete online
identification and security infrastructure to secure electronic
transactions, communications and workflow over the Internet.
Netrust is proud to
announce that our Netrust Security Consulting Group has developed the
following solutions to better serve the needs of
our security-conscious customers.

Netrust Database Encryption Solution
Netrust's NSecure for
Databases facilitates organisations to selectively determine what data needs to
be protected and protects them from the peering eyes of unauthorised
individuals, whether insiders or outsiders, through the use of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Not only does
it encrypt the data, it also provides the data owner the ability to
specify who are allowed to access - read or modify - the data. It gives
organisations complete data security with enormous flexibility and
transparency.
Features
- The data will be encrypted for the users and it
will stay encrypted till it reaches the user. Thus, it provides complete end-to-end
security.
- The data can be encrypted for a set of users.
Thus, it provides flexibility while encrypting the database. Some
fields can be encrypted for all the users in a department, while other
fields can be encrypted only for the managers. The same concept can be
used for inter-department encryption. Different fields can be encrypted for
different departments, such that users from one department cannot decrypt and
view the data
for another department.
- Zero footprint client option. It supports a
zero-footprint client mode wherein the users do not need to carry any keys and
no client-side software is required. Coupled with SSL, this mode also provides
complete end-to-end
security.
Netrust Web Portal Security Solution
Netrust's NServer enables companies to confidently connect
with their business partners and customers via the Internet for secure
information delivery, collaboration and other business transactions. These
highly secure transactions employ strong authentication, encryption and digital
signatures through PKI. NServer can be easily installed on existing applications to replace or augment the UserID
and password mechanisms with digital certificate-based two-factor authentication systems.
It can also be integrated with workflow applications where multiple signatures
are needed.
Authentication - It delivers a comprehensive, scalable and reliable framework for
authenticating clients and servers to one another.
Trust - It
facilitates signing of web forms and receipts during business transactions.
This provides the element of trust and non-repudiation during web transactions.
Security - Sensitive
data that is being transferred between the client and the server can be sent in
encrypted form. Thus, data will remain secure while traveling across open
networks. Any data corruption or modification during transfer can be easily
detected.
Features
- Fully customisable Web-browser interface.
- Ease of integration with existing applications.
- Implemented using NIST certified toolkits.
- Include state-of-the-art symmetric ciphers such as AES-256, and
3DES, and 1024-bit RSA asymmetric cipher.
