The Ministry of Law has launched
a new land information service called the Integrated Land Information
Service (INLIS). INLIS is an Internet-based
system that uses the latest web technology to bring map and textual land
information to you via Internet or SINGAPORE
ONE. It offers a one-stop information service by integrating selected
aspects of land information from the Registry of Titles, Land Office and
Survey Department. The information is useful for lawyers, developers,
property agents, valuers, architects, land surveyors, banks and members
of the public.
INLIS is the first system
in Singapore to combine GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology
and E-commerce technology to enable interactive digital maps tagged with
land information to be delivered to any Internet user, who has a card
reader and a cashcard or a Netrust ready smart card with GIRO.
Reliable Information at
the Touch of a Button
You can access INLIS for information
on land tenure, area, ownership, encumbrances and the last transacted
price (if available) for registered lots which have been computerised
under the Registry of Titles' computerised registration system called
STARS.
You can also use the graphical
overview map of Singapore to get a cadastral map of a land lot or a locality
map. Users are able to print colour maps in various paper sizes ranging
from A4 to A0. The printing of the maps can be done at your office or
home, or remotely at Survey Department (self-collection) for larger paper
sizes. You will need a plotter for prints larger than A3 size.
You can pay for INLIS charges
by cash card or GIRO. Payment by GIRO is recommended for corporate users
as the organisation can track INLIS usage. If you want to make payment
by cash card, you only need a card reader and cash card. No registration
with INLIS is required. If you want to make payment by GIRO, you will
need a card reader, a smartcard with a Netrust Digital Certificate, registration
with INLIS and application for GIRO.
