disclosure statement for the purposes of explaining
the readiness of Netrust only. It does not represent or include the readiness
of associated businesses that may conduct transactions with Netrust from
time to time.
Netrust has taken active
steps to review all the systems and equipment currently used to supply
products and services to its customers. Netrust has commissioned a year
2000 compliance review of all systems and equipment.
Netrust has undertaken several
steps to ensure its services are compliant, including:
|
-
| producing
an inventory of equipment critical for business operations for initial
assessment
|
| -
| a
remediation programme to upgrade or replace equipment that may be
at risk of not being compliant
|
| -
| testing
of all key business systems under the control and ownership of Netrust
|
| - |
contacting
key business partners and inviting them to participate in external
testing of systems. |
Current tests have been comprehensive
and the results of both internal and external testing conducted by Netrust
and its key business partners indicate no Year 2000 issues to-date.
It should be noted that Netrust's
ability to provide products and services without interruption depends
not only on the compliance of its own systems, but also on the compliance
of Netrust's suppliers. If a key supplier fails to deliver mission critical
functions, this may in turn affect Netrust's own ability to continuously
supply our customers with products and services.
With this in mind, Netrust
is seeking year 2000 compliance assurances from its relevant business
partners, including suppliers, sub-contractors and customers.
Netrust has established
a Year 2000 Project Officer to co-ordinate the Year 2000 Programme activities.
The Project Officer is the central point for all Year 2000 inquiries.
