Netrust SSL Web Certificate Application Checklist


1. Decide on mode of payment i.e. PO OR Credit Card (VISA, Mastercard)
2. Decide on how many certificates you need
3. Decide on the lifespan of certificate e.g. 1-Year or 2-Year
4. Read the Enrollment Guide and gather information required during online enrollment process
5. Review the Subscription Agreement
6. Start the online enrollment
a. If the payment is to be made via credit card, just proceed to the BUY pages for the online application.
b. If the application is to be made via PO, send an Email to Netrust with the following:
- Applicant's Name, Designation, Company name, Company Address and Fax number.
- Number of certificates required
- Lifespan of each certificate e.g. 1 year or 2 years
7. Upon the receipt of the email, Netrust will fax/email the applicant a quotation within 1 business day.
8. Upon the receipt of the quotation, the applicant needs to fax a confirmation of acceptance and mail/courier a PO to Netrust.

9. Upon receiving the confirmation of acceptance, Netrust will provide a promotional code for each certificate applied for.
10. To start the online application, go to http://netrust.entrust.net, select the "Web Server Certificates" link.
11. Use promotional code(s) provided in the "Promotional Code" field
12. Go to Step 1 in the enrollment page.
13. Applicant needs to fax Proof of Right Documents to the Netrust fax address:

Without this Proof of Right information, Netrust cannot process your certificate request.
14. If you are applying for more than one certificate, you will need to repeat item 11. on this checklist for each certificate that you apply for.
 

Important Note:
  • If you are doing the application on behalf of another company (domain name owner), then appoint the applicant as the technical contact. This person will be in-charge of the pre-certificate application /certificate application / any post processes e.g. cert installation.
  • Also appoint a representative from the domain name owner's company as the authorisation contact.
  • If you are the designated technical contact, please note that you will need to have the following documents ready during the certificate application process:

    - Domain name owner's company ROC
    - Letter of authorisation from the domain name owner to authorise the technical from proxy       company to request the SSL certificate on the domain name's owner's behalf.
    - Copy of the contract between the companies which explains the business relationship between   the subscriber and the domain name owner.
