What is Sign with Singpass ?
On 5th November 2020, Singapore Government Technology Agency (GovTech) launched a new feature that allows Singpass users to sign on agreements, contracts and other legal documents electronically using Singpass.
Singpass users are able to use the Singpass Mobile app to digitally sign on an electronic document. This digital signature is identifiable and uniquely linked to the signer.
Is nSignSG Service Free for use?
Yes, as of now, Sign with Singpass with nSignSG is free for public usage. There are no plans to convert nSignSG service to a paid service.
Why is Netrust Making this Initiative Free?
As part of the National Digital Identity (NDI) Smart Nation strategic national project, we believe that digital signature adoption should be widely used and we decide to make this service free for members of the public.
Do I need a Singpass for this ?
Yes, this service uses your Singpass mobile to sign on the documents. It will take less than two minutes to apply a digital signature to a digitised document. If you do not have a Singpass refer to www.netrust.net/nsign/ for other signing services without using Singpass.
Is it secure to upload my documents ?
Yes, Netrust has been in the industry since 1997 and security has always been our utmost concern.
Does Netrust store my uploaded documents ?
No, Netrust does not store any of the uploaded documents beyond the expiry which is set at 30 mins. Please download the signed document, Netrust will not be able to recover any signed documents on your behalf.
Is the Process Secure ?
Yes. During the digital signing process, no document data will be transferred between Netrust and the Government platform. Instead, only a cryptographically random, unintelligible, and irreversible code representing the signed document will be transferred during the transaction. Cybersecurity measures in line with industry best practices have been implemented within the service.
